What we get up to

Mastermind Sessions

We believe in learning & sharing so we host Mastermind sessions focused around being a digital nomad and all things remote work. You can expect two awesome masterminds a week that are interactive, educational and a whole lot of fun. Check out our planned sessions below.

Collaboration is a big part of our retreats and we make sure everyone gets to share their inspiring skills. Whether in a workshop, feedback session or leading a lunch & learn and teaching the group - you will leave the skillshares feeling pumped and excited to learn more and put it into practice.

Group activities

We get work done and we inspire eachother with our awesome skillsets, but we also have a whole lot of FUN! From group dinners, yacht trips, chasing waterfalls to cooking classes, beach hopping and wine tasting. We immerse ourselves in the local culture and also give back & volunteer.

Why we love Cape Town

Hike up Table Mountain

Cape Town is based on the slopes of the epic Table Mountain range, officially dubbed as one of the 7 Wonders of Nature worldwide. For an easy climb, head up Lion's head at sunset for panoramic views and see Robben Island in the distance. For more experienced climbers, take on Table Mountain or simple head up in the Cable Car, not to be missed!

See the Big Five

Do you know what they are? Tick off seeing lions, rhinos, elephants, Cape buffalo and leopards off your bucket list. Not to mention giraffes, hippos and crocodiles - excited yet? Head to the closest game reserve two hours outside of Cape Town for your African safari experience or head up the Garden route if you have more time & visit Addo Elephant park.

Go vineyard hopping

Cape Town is one of the best wine destinations in the world with over 560 vineyards in the region. Located only 45 minuts outside the city centre you can explore multiple wine farms and go wine tasting. Visit Franschhoek to go on the iconic wine tram that takes you to different wine farms with a complimentary glass of champagne on board.

Visit the Southern tip of Africa

Take a drive down the south peninsula, only 30 minutes from the city centre and visit Cape Point - where the Atlantic & Indan oceans meet. Stop at Boulders Beach to chill with the penguins, stroll around Kalk Bay and look for antiques or head to Muizenburg and learn to surf. There's so much to do in and around Cape Town.

Coliving in Cape Town

Coliving is the best way to connect with other like-minded nomads. You get your own space while at the same time being able to share daily goals over coffee in the morning, take a swim break in the afternoon or cook together in the evenings. You'll never feel alone, but your personal time and work will always be respected. Where we've stayed before in Cape Town. We confirm our accommodation 3-4 months before start date.

What the month looks like

Here's an example from a past Cape Town Retreat on all our social activiies and networking events. All activities are voluntary as we are aware our Wanderers have different working hours and schedules - so join if you can as we love all thecommunity fun stuff

What our Past Wanderers Say

Simply apply here to sign up for this retreat. The online application process takes less than a minute. We will then process your application and determine whether you would be a good fit for the retreat. If so you will receive an email from your retreat coordinator within 48 hours, confirming acceptance onto the retreat and next steps.

Anyone who is a remote worker, freelancer or online entrepreneur who is enthusiastic to meet like-minded people and share their skills will get accepted.

We are extremely inclusive and accept digital nomads irrespective of age, gender, race or religion. We encourage diversity and love welcoming remote workers from all over the world.

We have limited spots on each retreat so best to get in early to avoid disappointment.

Yes, of course! As long as you are able to work remotely in some way while on the retreat we would love to have you on board. This is actually a great opportunity to jumpstart your digital nomad journey and start building your community.

YES! This is a coworking retreat meaning we will be continueing on with our day to day work. We generally do this at the coworking space or the villa. Some will head for lunch while others will get their hours in. Everyone has different schedules so it’s very flexible and none of our included activities are compulsary.

This is your opportunity to share your awesome skills with the group! We always find there are synergies within the group and you will be surprised how eager everyone is to learn what you know. If you’re up to, host a session teaching the group, or simply sit back and absorb all the info your fellow Wanderers have to share.

All the bedrooms are spacious and clean. There are private rooms (double) and shared twin) rooms, conveniently priced to suit your budget.

While we’d love to welcome kids, we unfortunately do not have the facilities to do this. If this becomes a popular request in the future we will look into it.

-Due to the unprecedented COVID-19 Pandemic, we have adjusted our refund policy which now reflects as the COVID-19 Flexibility policy. This means you will be able to get a full refund up until 60 days prior to retreat start date. If the retreat has to be cancelled due to COVID-19 by Work Wanderers you will also get a full refund, right up until start date. See COVID-19 Flexibility Policy here.

You may need a visa depending on your nationality. Please check with the relevant embassy in your country.

Yes. Travel insurance is required and must include coverage of CVID-19 related issues. Also, make sure it covers flight cancellations and changes.
When coliving it can be a bit difficult to completely distance yourself socially. We advise on the following:
  • Staying out of each other’s bedrooms
  • Keeping a distance of 1.5m apart if possible
  • Sanitize your hands when coming into the house (there will be sanitizers available)
  • After using communal spaces, wipe the area down with an alcohol wipe
Unfortunately, due to the constantly changing nature of travel Work Wanderers can’t be held liable for specific travel restrictions or cancellations. You may join the retreat laet if need be.
When entering South Africa, you will need to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test. Read full terms and conditions on this in section 9.2. See terms here.
We will follow health protocols as stipulated by the South African government which include quarantining for a 10 day period. The person in question will be isolated as best possible, and we reserve the right to relocate that person and separate other members. Work Wanderers will assist in complying with any local legal regulations and finding alternative accommodation for the person at the individual’s expense. Those that were in close contact will need to either self-isolate for 10 days or get a COVID-19 PCR test and show negative results.
We will have anonymity forms you can fill out to lodge a complaint and we will handle it accordingly. Your health and safety is our main concern.
